Centre for Digital Cities and Society

Our Centre for Digital Cities and Society was established in 2020 and brings together expertise from across the University. The Centre is founded on shared interests in the impact which digital technologies are having on people, built environments, design, fabrication and wellbeing.

Through our activities in research and teaching, we aim to work with external colleagues, from both the public and private sectors, and including academic partners internationally. In particular, though, much of our work is defined by engagement with the wider community, and the way in which we can assist, inform, advise and stimulate positive change within the built environment.

Our research has been supported by numerous external funding bodies and clients, including the European Commission (Horizon 2020), Interreg North Sea Region, UKRI, Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council, the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre and Innovate UK.
